Typical Naval Officers Club functions in the Sydney area range from formal Members Luncheons at the RACA to informal barbecues on thewardroom terrace, HMAS Pe nguin. Members and their guests attended a wide range of activities in 2001 - 2009, including dinners, luncheons and barbecues. A record number (220) attended our Parliament House Luncheon in December 2007. Another record number (80), for a barbecue, attended a recent May BBQ in HMAS Penguin. |

The Club makes CDs of all the Naval Officers Club newsletters, in .pdf format,from 1981 and updates them quarterly. Similarly, 100+ of the more popular wardroom songs (many are X-rated) are on another CD in .doc format . Cost, including postage, is $10 each.The Club also sells silk ties, name tallies, RAN lapel badges and Xmas cards. |

Fleet Review Friday 13 MarchWe hired Simply Magistic (right) to witness the Fleet Review ceremonies Friday 13 March. The ferry came with two open bars and a three-course buffet lunch. A full house of 125 members and guests were thoroughly delighted with the event. HMAS Sydney opened the proceedings with a gun salute to Commodore, Her Excellency, Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, the Governor of New South Wales. |
